Purpose of This Application

This application displays real-time air quality information based on your device's geographic location. The information is provided strictly for informational, reference, and general awareness purposes.

Data Processing & Privacy

This application does not collect, store, or transmit personal information to any server controlled by the developer.

• Location data is accessed directly from your device with your permission
• Location coordinates are sent only to Open-Meteo API to retrieve air quality data
• No user profiles, identifiers, or tracking cookies are used
• No data is stored on external servers by this application

POPIA Compliance (South Africa)

Processing of any personal information occurs in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), Act 4 of 2013. Any personal information displayed remains under the control of the user's device and browser. The developer does not act as a "responsible party" under POPIA as no personal information is collected or stored by the developer.

Third-Party Services

This application retrieves air quality data from third-party public APIs:

• Open-Meteo Air Quality API - provides air quality index and pollutant measurements
• Open-Meteo Geocoding API - converts coordinates to location names
• Data sourced from CAMS (Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service)

Use of third-party services is subject to their respective terms, privacy policies, availability, and accuracy. The developer has no control over external data sources or their operation. Your location coordinates are transmitted to these services to retrieve relevant data.

Accuracy & Data Limitations

Air quality data is subject to:

• Measurement uncertainties and sensor limitations
• Data processing delays and update frequencies
• Geographic interpolation from monitoring stations
• Weather conditions and atmospheric variations

Air Quality Index (AQI) is based on European Environment Agency (EEA) standards. Values displayed may be delayed, approximate, or differ from official sources.

This application is NOT a medical device and should NOT be used for medical decisions.
